New Maruti Swift 2024 vs Baleno – Which Car Should You Buy?

Considering the prices mentioned above, opting for the Baleno seems more practical, especially if you’re looking for the top-spec trim. For a mere Rs 23,500 extra, the Baleno’s top-tier variant offers a world of upgrades over the Swift, like UV cut glasses, a heads-up display, a 360-degree surround view system, and auto-dimming IRVM. Furthermore, the Baleno boasts larger dimensions, providing more cabin & boot space, along with a more powerful petrol engine. However, since the new Swift offers six airbags as standard, it has an edge over Baleno’s lower-spec trim. Nevertheless, it’s worth noting that the Baleno belongs to the segment above, and we expect it will also be upgraded soon with enhanced safety features and consequently undergo price hikes.

As of now, Maruti has not provided the Swift with a CNG powertrain option, while the Baleno is available with this eco-friendly choice. For reference, the Baleno CNG variant is priced between Rs 8.40 – 9.33 lakh (ex-showroom).
