2024 New Maruti Swift – What To Expect?

For those unaware, this will be Swift’s fourth-generation version in the country. It will feature a revised design, more practicality, new features, and a brand-new engine.

New Maruti Swift bookings

To start with, the upcoming Maruti Swift maintains its familiar shape and stance, characterized by its bulbous nose and rounded surfaces, presenting an evolutionary design from the outgoing model. However, it is likely to retain the same wheelbase.

New Maruti Swift interior

The interior of the Swift has been given a fresh update while still feeling familiar, as it borrows parts from the Baleno and Fronx. Although some dashboard panels and the housing for the 9.0-inch touchscreen have been tweaked slightly. Additionally, there’s anticipation for enhanced safety features such as 360-degree camera, six airbags, and ESP. The latter two may become standard offerings.

Underneath the hood, the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift is likely to hold an all-new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that will replace the ongoing K12 4-cylinder DualJet DualVVT unit. While its power output is expected to remain largely unchanged from the current engine, it is anticipated to offer improved fuel efficiency. Globally, this engine also features a mild-hybrid system. However, we’re unsure if Maruti will also provide this on the Indian-spec Swift.
