New Honda Activa Incoming – 7G Iteration?

Honda 2Wheelers India has teased its upcoming scooter with a tag line stating “Raise the bar with style that is unlike any other.” Going with the silhouette, it looks like India’s best-selling Activa scooter, implying that the Japanese marque could be bringing its 7th generation version soon. Or it could be a new variant of the Activa 6G (6th generation).

New Honda Activa 7G- What To Expect?

In spite of the Activa’s massive popularity, it is lacking in certain areas, which we hope will be discoursed in its newest avatar. And so, we expect the new Honda Activa to get features like a semi-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and alloy wheels with at least an optional fitment of disc brake at the front. Also, the LED headlight which is currently restricted to the DLX variant, could be offered as standard fitment.

With all these above-mentioned changes, expect the new Honda Activa to command a significant price premium over the ongoing model, which ranges between Rs 73,057 – 75,057 (ex-showroom).

At the heart of the new Activa is expected to be the same BS6-compliant 109.51cc, single-cylinder engine assisted by eSP technology and ACG silent starter. Mated to the CVT automatic transmission, this mill is claimed to deliver 7.79PS of maximum power at 8,000rpm and 8.79Nm of peak torque at 5,250rpm.
