The all-new Tucson features Hyundai's latest 'Parametric Dynamic' design philosophy, which is an evolution of its Sensuous Sportiness design language. It gets a unique triangular textured jewel-like design pattern for the front grille that beautifully integrates the 'Parametric Hidden Lights'. The upcoming Creta facelift will also get a similar kind of facia.

The side profile of the new Hyundai Tucson gets numerous cuts and rhombus shapes throughout its length, providing it a dynamic impression. Besides, the blacked-out angular wheel arches and rocker panels, along with quirky designed dual-tone alloy wheels and a full-width LED light bar with triangular tail lamp clusters, complement the overall appearance. The car is offered in both short- and long-wheelbase versions globally.

Inside, the new Tucson gets a touch-control-based central console with a standard 8.0-inch infotainment system that can be upgraded to the 10.3-inch touchscreen unit. Its wraparound dashboard with the faux AC vents looks similar to Audi cars. Features highlights of the SUV include a hoodless digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, air quality monitoring system, a premium Bose sound system, ambient lighting, a sunroof, digital key, electric parking brakes with auto-hold, and voice-command-based features including car-to-home communication that allows the vehicle owner to control home light and smart appliance from the road.

For passenger's safety, it gets multiple airbags, electronic stability control, blindspot view monitor, blind-spot collision warning, lane keep assist, lane following assist, and highway driving assist, etc.

2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid India launch

Globally, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson is available in multiple powertrain options – a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol (190PS/245Nm), mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol with a plug-in hybrid system (230PS/350Nm) that comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The SUV also receives an all-wheel-drive configuration, along with drive modes and traction modes. There's also the sportier N-Line variant in making.

The premium Hyundai Tucson is expected to go on sale in the coming weeks, with prices likely to start around Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rekindle its rivalry against the Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan facelift, Skoda Karoq, and Citroen C5 Aircross.
