More Powerful Hero XPulse 200 4V Launched At Rs 1.28 Lakh

Hero MotoCorp has launched the more powerful iteration of the XPulse 200 adventure motorcycle in India. The asking ex-showroom price for the updated XPulse is Rs 1,28,150, Rs 5,000 more than the previous model.

2021 Hero XPulse 200 4V – What's New?

As its name suggests, the new XPulse 200 comes with a 4-valve setup, instead of the earlier 2-valve configuration. With this, its 199cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor now produces 19.1PS and 17.35Nm, 1.02PS and 0.9Nm more than the outgoing model. Hero claims that it will offer better mid-range and top-end performance with reduced vibrations even at high speeds. Additionally, it also gets a new 7-fin oil cooler, and its gear ratios have also been updated for better acceleration.

On the features front, the upgraded XPulse 200 4V receives a new integrated engine start/stop switch and an improved LED headlight for better visibility at night. Moreover, it also features an improved seat profile, resulting in a saddle height of 825mm (2mm taller than before). 

The new XPulse is offered in three new dual-tone color options (Trail Blue, Blitz Blue, and Red Raid) along with updated graphics.

2021 Hero XPulse 200 4V – Underpinnings & Features

Hero hasn't made any changes to the underpinning of the bike. It will continue to be available with the same telescopic fork (190mm travel) and monoshock setup (170mm travel) as before, along with the 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels. On the other hand, the 220mm of ground clearance and braking setup (276mm/220mm discs) also remains the same.

Features list of the bike has also been carried forward from the previous model that majorly includes a digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation assist, single-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS) for safer braking, a luggage plate with bungee hooks to carry luggage, upswept exhaust that enables deep water crossing, a windshield for better wind protection, aluminum skid plate for engine's protection, and knuckle guards for the protection of your hands when riding off-road.

The new XPulse 200 will continue to rival the Honda CB200X, which costs Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
