Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG Grand Edition Launched

Mercedes-Benz has launched a special limited edition of the G Wagon SUV in India called the “G 63 Grand Edition”. Priced at Rs 4 crore (ex-showroom), only 25 units of this special edition model will be available in India, with 1,000 units offered globally.

Mercedes has stated that it will be offered to existing Maybach, S-Class and Mercedes-AMG customers first.

Mercedes-Benz G 63 Grand Edition – What’s Special?

  • The all-new Mercedes-Benz G 63 Grand Edition comes finished in an exclusive Manufaktur Night Black Magno colour with golden-coloured graphics on the sides.
  • The gold accent can also be seen on the bumpers, front skid plate, and spare wheel of the SUV.
  • It also gets gold-finished, larger 23-inch centre-lock forged AMG wheels.

  • Inside, the SUV gets a Manufaktur Black Nappa Leather finish for almost every surface, complimented by gold stitchings and a ‘Grand Edition’ badge on the passenger side grab handle.

Powertrain

Powering the 63 Grand Edition is the same 4-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol engine as the regular model that belts out a whopping power output of 585hp and a massive torque of 850Nm.

Mercedes offers this luxurious trailblazer with an all-wheel-drive system with front, mid and rear locking differentials. It is claimed to complete the century sprint in just 4.5 seconds before attaining a top speed of 220 kmph.

Competitors

In the Indian market, the Mercedes-Benz G 63 Wagon faces competition from the V8 version of the Land Rover Defender.
