Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB Gets Cheaper After GST Reforms

Mercedes-Benz India has slashed the prices of its popular E-Class long-wheelbase sedan, following the government’s revised GST structure for passenger cars. Depending on the variant, the luxury sedan is now ₹4.5–5.2 lakh more affordable.

Mercedes has also introduced a new Verde Silver paint finish, expanding the E-Class colour range to six shades. This update coincides with the sedan’s first anniversary in India since its launch in October 2024.

Powertrain Options

The 2025 E-Class comes with three engine options: a 204PS 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol, a 197PS 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel, and a 381PS 3.0-litre 6-cylinder turbo petrol that is exclusive to the AMG Line. All the engines come paired to a 48V mild-hybrid system (offers 23PS of power boost) and a 9-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels. The E450 AMG Line variant also benefits from the brand’s 4Matic AWD system.
