Mercedes-Benz C 300d Discontinued In India

The Mercedes-Benz C 300d – the top-spec diesel variant of the C-Class – has now been discontinued in India. With this, the luxury sedan is now only available in C200 petrol and C220d diesel variants, priced at Rs 61.20 lakh and Rs 59.18 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

For those who aren’t aware, Mercedes-Benz introduced the fifth-gen C-Class in May 2022. The C 300d was powered by a 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine, generating 265PS of max power and 550Nm of peak torque. Complementing this performance was a 48V mild-hybrid system offering additional boosts of 20PS and 200Nm. The same engine also powers the C 220d variant but in a lower state of tune, making 200PS and 440Nm. Meanwhile, the C200 comes equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine, producing 204PS and 300Nm. All these engine options come paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and a 48V mild-hybrid system.
