Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Gets Four New Colour Options

  • MY22 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is now available with seven colour options, inclduing four new and three old.
  • Ciaz’s signature Nexa blue along with two other shades have been discontinued.
  • Priced between Rs 8.86 – 11.85 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Maruti Suzuki has introduced four new exterior colour options for the Ciaz sedan that include Celestial Blue, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver, and Grandeur Grey. These new shades will also be available with the upcoming Baleno facelift. Besides, the brand has also discontinued three out of six older paint schemes, namely, Nexa Blue, Sangria Red, and Magma Grey. However, the Pearl Arctic White, Midnight Black, and Prime Dignity Brown will continue to be on offer.

Apart from updating the colour palette, no other changes have been made to the Maruti Ciaz. It will continue to be available in four trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha, which are currently priced between Rs 8.86 – 11.85 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Features onboard include auto LED headlamps, a 7-inch Smartplay studio touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto climate control, rear AC vents, passive keyless entry with push-button start, leather upholstery, auto headlamps & wipers, and cruise control. Safety equipment consists of dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and rear parking sensors with a camera.

Powering the spacious mid-size sedan is a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder, petrol mild-hybrid engine (105PS/138Nm), paired with a standard 5-speed manual and an optional 4-speed torque converter automatic unit.

In the Indian market, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz goes up against Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, and Volkswagen Vento. Soon these European sedans will be replaced by bigger & more premium Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus, respectively.
