Maruti Suzuki Celerio Now Available With 6 Airbags, Priced Hiked

Maruti Suzuki has updated the safety quotient of the Celerio by offering six airbags as standard fitment across its variant lineup. Earlier, the compact hatchback was available with just two front airbags.

Aside from six airbags, features like ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminder for all seats, seatbelt pre-tensioner & force limiter, and rear parking sensors are also part of the standard safety kit. Additionally, the range-topping variants also benefit from hill hold assist, impact-sensing auto door unlock, speed-sensitive auto door lock and rear defogger with rear washer & wiper.

Maruti Celerio: Prices Increased

The enhanced safety comes with a price hike of up to Rs 32,500, with the highest hike applicable to the top-spec ZXi+ AMT variant. The LXi MT, ZXi MT and ZXi+ MT variants now cost Rs 27,500 more, while the VXi AMT sees a Rs 21,000 increase. On the other hand, the VXi MT and VXi CNG MT variants have received a uniform price hike of Rs 16,000 each. However, the price of the ZXi AMT variant remains unchanged. With all these revisions, the Maruti Celerio now costs between Rs 5.64 lakh and Rs 7.37 lakh (ex-showroom).
