Maruti Suzuki Cars Become Expensive By Up To Rs 22,500

As we have reported earlier, Maruti Suzuki has hiked the prices of its entire product range except for the soon-to-be-upgraded Celerio and Celerio X. The brand has cited the rising input production costs as the prime reason for this move. Importantly, this is the third major price revision for most of the Maruti cars in the current year, except for the Swift and all CNG models, which had already received a price rise in July this year. Here’s how much you will have to spend more on a new Maruti Suzuki car: –

  • Maruti's all-time high-selling Eeco van is the most affected by the latest price hike move, followed by Ertiga MPV and Alto entry-level hatchback. On the other hand, the S-Presso saw the least price jump. 
  • As mentioned above, the brand hasn't altered the asking rates of Celerio and Celerio X as they are meant to be updated soon. Currently, the Maruti Celerio is priced from Rs 4.65 lakh to Rs 6 lakh, whereas its rugged version costs between Rs 5.11 lakh to Rs 5.91 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

Talking about the Nexa premium range, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and Ciaz received the most significant price hike among all, whereas the XL6 is the least affected model.
