Maruti Brezza Crosses 1 Million Sales Milestone

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza sub-4m SUV has crossed 1 million unit sales in our market, approximately 8 months after breaching the 9 lakh unit mark. It took Brezza (initially called Vitara Brezza) approximately 94 months from its launch in March 2016 to surpass this huge milestone. On average, the Brezza accounts for over 10,000 units of sales every month.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza – Quick Overview

Maruti Suzuki offers the Brezza in four variant choices: LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+, with the latter two trims also available in black editions. It is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, DualJet DualVVT petrol engine that produces 103PS of max power and 137Nm of peak torque. It can also be had with a factory-fitted CNG kit with a reduced output of 88PS and 121.5Nm.

Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic unit.

What Features Does It Pack?

Maruti Suzuki has equipped the Brezza with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Arkamys-tuned sound system, single-pane electric sunroof, paddle shifters (AT-only), a heads-up display, cruise control, wireless smartphone charger, push button start/stop, automatic climate control, and rear AC vents.

In terms of safety, the Brezza comes with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, seat belt reminder for all passengers, and rear parking sensors.

Price And Competition

Maruti retails the Brezza at a price range of Rs 8.29 – 14.14 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the likes of Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, and soon-to-be-facelifted Mahindra XUV300.
