Mahindra XUV700 Surpassed 50,000 Bookings In Just Two Days

Mahindra XUV700 bookings have crossed the 50,000 mark in just two days. The bookings started on 7th October at 10 AM, and surprisingly the first 25,000 units were booked within 57 minutes. The extraordinary momentum continued the next day as well, and the second lot, which was offered at revised prices, also sold out within 2 hours of its booking commencement.

Mahindra will announce the XUV700's delivery dates and exact waiting period on October 10. However, it is reported to be booked for the next 6 months. Henceforth, for new bookings, prices will be applicable at the time of delivery. We expect its waiting period to be extended further due to the ongoing global semiconductor chips crisis.

The Mahindra XUV700 comes in two broad trims – MX and AX series. The latter is further divided into three sub-variants – AX3, AX5, and AX7. The base-spec MX and top-spec AX7 trims are only available in a 5-seater and 7-seater configuration, respectively, the mid-spec AX3 and AX5 variants come in both seating options.

Powering the XUV700 are two engine choices – 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol and 2.2-liter turbo-diesel. Its segment's most powerful gasoline mill generates a maximum grunt of 200PS and a peak torque of 380Nm. It comes with a 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmission. The oil burner, on the other hand, comes in three states of tunes: – 155PS/360Nm for the MX trim, 185PS/420Nm for the AX manual, and 185PS/450Nm for AX automatic trims.
