Mahindra BE 6 Formula e Edition Launched At Rs 23.69 Lakh

Mahindra launched the new-age electric models, BE 6 and XEV 9e, last year, and to commemorate their anniversary, the SUVmaker has introduced the BE 6 Formula E Edition – the world’s first Formula E-themed Special Edition SUV, priced at Rs 23.69 lakh (ex-showroom).

Its bookings will open on January 14, while deliveries will begin from February 14 onwards.

BE 6 Formula E Edition – What’s Special?

  • Mahindra claims that it is the world’s first Formula E-themed special edition SUV that comes with a host of cosmetic enhancements and additional features over the standard model.
  • Being a sportier edition of the Mahindra BE 6, it gets a rugged-looking, blacked-out bumper featuring circular headlamps with gloss black bezels and red highlights.
  • The front & rear also get a racing-car-like faux bash plates in silver.
  • It also features race-inspired graphics on the front quarter panels, hood and roof, along with contrasting grey & black cladding that runs from the front to the rear bumpers.
  • Other notable additions include a new spoiler at the boot lid and a ‘Formula E’ moniker next to its name.
  • There’s also a custom start-up animation for the lights inspired by Formula E.
  • The FE3 variant also features exterior puddle lamps and 20-inch alloy wheels.
  • Inside, it gets a ‘BE 6 Formula E’ imprint on the seats, along with a bunch of orange accents all around the cabin.
  • Motorsport branding is everywhere: there’s an “FIA × Formula E” edition plaque, Formula E logos on dashboard and seats, and even FIA‑branded seat belts.
  • Lastly, it also gets Formula E-inspired start-up animations and artificial engine sounds.

Mahindra offers the BE 6 Formula Edition in six colours – Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red, and Stealth Black.

Features Onboard

As for the features, the new BE 6 Formula E Edition gets everything that its standard does. Having said that, it comes loaded with amenities like dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car tech, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, wireless smartphone charging, dual zone climate control, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, and a level-2 ADAS suite.

BE 6 Formula E Edition – Battery and Range

Mahindra has offered with Formula E Edition with the SUV’s bigger 79kWh battery pack, paired with a rear-axle-mounted electric motor (285PS/380Nm). It has a claimed range of 682 kilometres on a single charge.
