Kia Clavis: Powertrain Options

  • We expect the Kia Clavis to be offered with Carens’ 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol (160PS/253Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel engine (116PS/250Nm) options.
  • Like the Sonet & Syros duo, we expect it to also skip the naturally aspirated petrol engine option, just like the Syros.

Expected Price and Rivals

The Clavis will be sold alongside the existing Carens, We believe it to command a significant premium over the Carens, which currently ranges between Rs 10.60 lakh and Rs 19.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will serve as a premium alternative to the Maruti Ertiga, XL6, and Toyota Rumion.
