Kia India has once again updated the variant lineup of the Carnival luxury MPV by discontinuing the mid-spec Premium 8-Seater and Prestige 9-Seater variants. Besides, the production of the base-spec Premium 7-seater and mid-spec Prestige 6-seater variants has been lowered, probably due to poor demand. Here's a look at the updated variant lineup of the 2022 Kia Carnival: –

Variant

Price (Ex-showroom India)

Premium 7-Seater

Rs 24.95 lakh

Premium 8-Seater (Discontinued)

Rs 25.15 lakh

Prestige 6-Seater

Rs 29.49 lakh

Prestige 9-Seater (Discontinued)

Rs 29.95 lakh

Limousine 7-Seater

Rs 31.99 lakh

Limousine Plus 7-Seater

Rs 33.99 lakh

Aside from the variant rejig, the MPV remains unchanged. It continues to get the same features list loaded with premium equipment such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connected car tech, three-zone climate control, powered side gate, cruise control, a 10.1-inch touchscreen display for middle-row occupants, dual-panel sunroof, multiple airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), cornering brake control, and hill assist. Powering the Carnival is a 2.2-litre diesel engine (200PS/440Nm), coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a front-wheel drivetrain (FWD).

The Kia Carnival has no direct competitor in the Indian market. It can be a good option for those who want to upgrade from the Toyota Innova Crysta.
