Jawa 350 Launched At Rs 2.14 Lakh

Jawa Motorcycles has launched the all-new Jawa 350 motorcycle, replacing the outgoing Jawa Classic from its lineup. The company has priced it at Rs 2.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), placing it against the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda H’Ness CB350 and Benelli Imperiale 400.

Jawa 350 – How It Is Different From Jawa Classic?

The biggest change lies underneath its skin. It comes kitted with a bigger 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine generating 22.5PS at 7,000rpm of max power and 28.1Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist-&-slip clutch. The new engine now has 1Nm more torque at lower revs. However, the power has decreased by a noticeable 4.8hp compared to the previous 293cc engine. However, the company vows a pleasing low-end and mid-range performance from the new mill.

The new 334cc engine is housed within a double cradle frame, suspended on 35mm front telescopic forks and 5-step pre-load adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear. It gets spoked rims with tubed tyres, featuring sizes of 100/90-18 for the front and 130/70-18 for the rear.

Braking duties are now handled by 280mm front and 240mm rear discs, equipped with dual-channel ABS. This marks a significant upgrade from the earlier 153mm rear drum and single-channel ABS.

Dimensionally, the new Jawa 350 weighs 194kg (1kg lighter than the RE Classic 350) and boasts a wheelbase of 1449mm, ground clearance of 178mm, a seat height of 790mm and a fuel tank capacity of 13.2 litres.

Jawa has offered the new 350 model in three body shades: Mystique Orange, Maroon and Black.
