Hyundai Venue Gets A Variant Rejig For 2021, Here Are The New Prices

The Hyundai Venue sub-compact SUV has received a silent variant rejig for 2021. Of these rejig, the highlight is that the brand has introduced two new variants and discontinued a total of five existing variants.

Hyundai has axed the base-spec E diesel manual, S diesel manual, S turbo-petrol, S turbo-petrol DCT, and SX (O) turbo-petrol manual variants from the Venue's variant line-up for the two new trims: S (O) and SX (O) Executive. Prices for the S (O) variant start from Rs 9,03,560, while the latter costs Rs 10,96,901 (ex-showroom). 

The S (O) variant is available with either the 1.0-liter turbo-petrol (iMT/ 7-speed DCT) or the 1.5-liter diesel with a 6-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the SX (O) Executive variant is only offered with the 1.5-liter diesel manual powertrain. Features of these variants are yet to be revealed by the Korean carmaker. But they are likely to get steel wheels with wheel caps, that looks like alloy wheels

Mechanically, the Hyundai Venue will remain unchanged. It will continue to be available with three engine options – 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol (83PS/114Nm), 1.5-litre diesel (100PS/240Nm), and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol (120PS/171Nm). While the 1.2-litre unit comes paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox only, the diesel and turbo-petrol motors get a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. The Venue Turbo also gets the options of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT) and 6-speed intelligent manual transmission (iMT) that doesn’t feature the clutch pedal.
