Rivals

In the emerging SUV market, the new Hyundai Tucson will lock horns with the Mahindra XUV500, Jeep Compass, Skoda Karoq, and Volkswagen T-Roc.

Author's Take

Hyundai has a really good grip in the sub-4m & compact SUV segment with Venue & Creta. With this updated version of the Tucson, the brand wants to make its presence stronger in the mid-size SUV segment also. However, we cannot deny the fact that the competition in the segment has increased in recent times with the introduction of Skoda Karoq and Volkswagen T-Roc. Soon Mahindra and Jeep will also introduce the updated version of their respective offerings. Till then it can take advantage of Hyundai's wide dealer network & brand reliability.
