Advantages of Dual-Cylinder Setup in CNG Models

  • Improved Boot Space: Dual cylinders are typically smaller and can be more easily accommodated in the vehicle, resulting in better utilization of boot space.
  • Better Weight Distribution: Dual cylinders can be positioned to distribute weight more evenly, improving the vehicle’s handling and stability.
  • Increased Safety: Smaller cylinders may reduce the risk of gas leakage and can be more safely integrated into the vehicle’s structure.

Hyundai Exter CNG Powertrain

Hyundai offers the Exter CNG with a 1.2-litre petrol engine equipped with a factory-fitted CNG kit. Mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, it makes 69PS of max power and 95Nm of peak torque in CNG mode. For reference, the micro SUV makes 83PS and 114Nm in its petrol-only version and also gets the option of an AMT automatic transmission.

Hyundai Exter CNG – Features List

Since the Exter CNG comes in S and SX variants, it comes loaded with features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, wireless smartphone charger, tyre pressure monitoring system, six airbags, ESC and more.

It also features an integrated electronic control unit (ECU) that allows seamless switching between petrol and CNG modes while driving.

Warranty Coverage

Hyundai offers a 3-year warranty on the dual-cylinder setup.
