Hyundai Aura Features List Updated; Prices Gone Up By Rs 4,000

Hyundai Motors has silently updated the features and price list of its Aura sub-4-meter sedan. The carmaker has introduced a factory-fitted rear spoiler for all variants except for the base-spec E trim. Besides this, the brand has also removed some features as well.

The Arkamys premium sound system that was offered in range-topping SX and SX(O) trims has been removed. However, Hyundai is yet to confirm if a substitution is on the cards. The brand has also introduced 15-inch steel wheels on the second-to-base S manual variant of the Aura while its AMT version gets machine-finished wheels. Further, the entry-level E trim gets a downsized 13-inch spare wheel against the older 14-inch unit. With this, Hyundai has also increased its prices.

Apart from the aforementioned revisions and updated pricing, no other changes have been made to the Korean sedan. It continues to get features like projector fog lamps and headlamps, boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, C-shaped tail lamps with LED inserts, an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay & Android Auto connectivity, a 5.3-inch digital MID in the instrument cluster, automatic climate control, rear AC vent, wireless charging, multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and many more.

Hyundai offers the Aura with three engine choices: 1.2-litre petrol (83PS/114Nm), a 1.2-litre diesel (75PS/190Nm), and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine (100PS/172Nm). While both 1.2-liter units get a 5-speed manual as well as an AMT, the 1.0-liter turbo mill only comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The brand also offers a 1.2-liter petrol engine with a factory-fitted CNG kit.

In the Indian market, the Hyundai Aura rivals the likes of Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire, and the Tata Tigor.
