The Honda CB500X is an extremely capable product. However, its higher price tag was the only major concern with the bike. Now, with the price cut, the bike makes more sense, especially for those who desired it but were averting eyes because of its high cost. However, despite the dip, it is still quite expensive than the Benelli TRK 502 (Rs 5.11 – 5.71 lakh). But the price gap with the Kawasaki Versys 650 has widened (Rs 7.15 lakh).
It is worth noting that the price revision doesn’t bring any mechanical, cosmetical, or feature-related changes to the bike. It will continue to be powered by the BS6-compliant 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor that churns out 47PS of maximum power and 43Nm of torque. Mated to a 6-speed transmission, it also gets a slip-and-assist clutch for added safety & convenience.
Features onboard includes an LED lighting system, a tall windscreen, digital rider’s display with gear position and gear shift up indicator, dual-channel ABS, Honda’s smart Emergency Stop Signal (activates hazard lights during sudden braking), and much more. It also gets a generous 17.5-litre fuel tank and a seat height of 830mm.
Honda offers the CB500X ADV in two colour options: red and black.
