Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition Launched At Rs 1.16 Lakh

Soon after launching the new XPulse 200 4V and Pleasure Plus Xtec Edition, the Hero MotoCorp has now introduced the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition for the Indian market at Rs 1,16,660 (ex-showroom Delhi). Compared to the standard double-disc variant, the Xtreme 160R carries a premium of Rs 2,000. Here's a look at the complete variant lineup of the Hero's naked streetfighter: –

Hero Xtreme 160R Price (ex-showroom Delhi)
Single Disc Rs 1,11,610
Double Disc Rs 1,14,660
100 Million Edition Rs 1,16,460
Stealth Edition (NEW) Rs 1,16,660

Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition – What's Special?

The Stealth Edition gets some cosmetics and features add-ons over the standard variant. For starters, it gets an exclusive factory-finished matte black color scheme with a premium 3D ‘Xtreme Stealth’ emblem on the fuel tank and a ‘160R’ sticker on the tail panel. It further features a contrasting red accent on the headlight/front cowl and the engine case for added appearance. Moreover, for the rider's convenience, it also gets a USB charging port under the handlebar and 5-level brightness adjustability for the LCD instrument console along with a new gear position indicator. However, it misses out on the smartphone connectivity function. Buyers will have to spend Rs 4,999 extra to get this feature that will let the owner further access connected features like topple alert, tow-away alert, geofence, live tracking, trip analysis, driving score, speed alert, and Hero Locate to find your last parking location.

Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition – Engine, Underpinnings, and Other Features

Apart from the above-mentioned additions, no other changes have been made to the bike. The Stealth Edition retains the same 163cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine as the other variant that is proficient in producing 15.2PS and 14Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed transmission.

As for underpinnings, the Hero Xtreme 160R is based on a lightweight rigid diamond frame, suspended on a 37mm telescopic fork by Showa with an anti-friction bush and a 7-step adjustable monoshock. Rolling on 17-inch alloy wheels, the braking duties are taken care of by petal disc brakes (276mm front, 220 mm rear) at both ends with a single-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS).

Similar to the other variants, the Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition also gets an all-LED illumination system, side-stand engine cut-off, hazard lamp, engine kill switch, electric start, and Glide Through Technology features.

Rivals

The Hero Xtreme 160R goes up against the recently updated TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Rs 1.15 – 1.21 lakh) that offers quite a lot more features for a similar price range.
