Hero Splendor Plus Special Edition Revealed; Launch Expected In Few Days

Hero MotoCorp has revealed a new 125 Million Special Edition of the Splendor Plus to celebrate the milestone of 125 million customers globally. It is likely to be launched in the coming days, possibly on this Dussehra. We expect it to command a premium of around Rs 1,000 over the regular model.

Hero Splendor Plus Special Edition: What’s New?

The new Hero Splendor Special Edition gets an all-new glossy grey paint scheme with 3D “Hero” and “Splendor” badgings finished in gold for a premium appeal. It also flaunts gold & brown coloured graphics, ‘125M’ badging on the fuel tank and on the key, a gloss black single-piece grabrail, along with Special Edition stickers on the tail section. What further sweetens the overall look are the matte black alloys with golden coloured rim stripes.

Mechanically Unchanged

The new Splendor+ 125 Million Special Edition retains the same 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8PS of max power and 8.5Nm of peak torque. It also benefits from the Hero’s i3S technology, which is essentially an engine stop/start function for better fuel efficiency and to prevent unnecessary fuel burning during idling.

The underpinnings of the bike also remain unchanged, featuring the same steel tube frame as the regular model, suspended on a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is handled by 130mm drum brakes with a Combined Braking System (CBS).

The bike rolls on 18-inch alloys at both ends with 80-section tubeless tyres. It weighs 112kg and has a ground clearance of 165mm.

Features Onboard

Regarding features, the Splendor+ comes with just a basic set of amenities like an analogue instrument cluster, a long single-piece seat, and a side stand indicator.
