Hero Splendor Plus Gets A New Silver Nexus Blue Color Option

Hero MotoCorp has launched a new Silver Nexus Blue shade for the i3S variant of its highest-selling Splendor Plus commuter motorcycle in India at Rs 72,978 (ex-showroom), making it Rs 1,000 more expensive than the standard color options.

The new color scheme drapes the bike in silver color with appealing blue graphics on the fuel tank and side panels. It also gets blacked-out alloy wheels same as the XTEC variant.

Apart from the new color scheme, the bike remains unchanged. It is powered by a 97.2cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that makes 8.01PS and 8.05Nm and comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. It also gets Hero’s trademark i3s (Idle Stop-Start System) technology that turns the engine off in idle conditions for optimum fuel efficiency.

The underpinnings of the Hero Splendor Plus comprise a double-cradle frame, suspended on a telescopic fork and preload-adjustable twin shocks. Braking duties are taken care of by 130mm drum brakes at both ends, assisted by Combined Braking System (CBS).

In the Indian market, the Hero Splendor Plus rivals the likes of TVS Star City Plus and Bajaj Platina 100.
