Hero MotoCorp Records 1 lakh Sales In A Single Day

Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer has witnessed a record-breaking retail sale of over 1 lakh units in a single day on August 9th, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the company. This includes both the domestic as well as global sales of the company around the world.

For those who aren't aware, the company had unveiled its new brand identity at the O2 Arena in London on August 9, 2011, after the separation from Japan's Honda erstwhile joint venture partner. The company observes this day as 'Hero Day'.

Commenting on this achievement, Naveen Chauhan, Head of Sales & After-Sales, Hero MotoCorp said –

This kind of retail sales on a single day in a non-festive period is unprecedented. The completion of 10 years of our journey on August 9th is a significant milestone at Hero MotoCorp. Our customers have reiterated their faith and trust on us by celebrating the ‘Hero Day’ of August 9th, purchasing our range of products in massive numbers, enabling us to set this record of retail sales on a single day.

According to the press release shared by Hero MotoCorp, the daily average sales of Hero scooters doubled on 9th August with tremendous demand for its newly launched Maestro Edge 125, Destini, and Pleasure 110. Besides, the all-new Glamour XTEC, the Splendor in Matte Shield Gold color, and the Xtreme 160R also contributed to the overall volume of more than one lakh retail sales on August 9.
