Force Gurkha Price Up By Rs 51,000

  • The Force Gurkha off-roader is now priced at Rs 14.10 lakh (ex-showroom), commanding a hefty premium over the more feature-rich Mahindra Thar.

Force Motors India has hiked the price of the second-generation Gurkha SUV by Rs 51,000. It is the first price hike for the purposeful off-roader since its launch in September 2021. That said, the new Gurkha is now priced at Rs 14.10 lakh (ex-showroom India), making it Rs 35,000 more expensive than the top-spec LX (Hardtop) diesel-automatic variant of Mahindra Thar.

Currently, the 2022 Force Gurkha comes in a sole 4-seater variant, featuring two large captain seats for rear occupants. The brand is also planning a more practical 5-door variant of the Gurkha that could with 6- and 8-seater options. For those who aren’t aware, its first-gen model was offered in 3- and 5-door body styles, with seating options ranging from 4- to 9-seater.

Powering the Force Gurkha is a Mercedes-derived 2.6-litre diesel engine that delivers 91PS and 260Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It gets a 4×4 drivetrain as standard with a low-range gearbox and front & rear locking differentials to assist the SUV to helm the challenging terrains.

Features onboard the new-gen Gurkha include LED headlamps with DRLs, a snorkel, an aftermarket 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four-speaker sound system, manual air-conditioning, front power windows, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
