Ferrari Roma Launched In India At Rs 3.76 Crore

Italian luxury sports car manufacturer Ferrari has finally brought out the Prancing Horse’s four-wheeled beasts, the Roma, to the Indian shores. Priced at Rs 3.66 crore (ex-showroom), the new sports car features the brand’s new design language.

The Ferrari Roma looks beautiful with its neat but sharp design that seems inspired by the vintage models like the 1963 Ferrari 250 LM and the P80/C. It features an active rear spoiler integrated into the rear screen that automatically deploys at high speed and generates essential downforce. Its aerodynamic-friendly design is complemented by a color-coordinated grille, flanked by horizontal LED headlamps traversed by a horizontal light strip that will remind you of the iconic Ferrari Monza SP. The rear dresses with coupe-likes tail section, four LED tail-lamps, and quad-exhaust setup.

Inside, the central tunnel divides the cabin into two sections that give it an elegant look. The dashboard houses an 8.4-inch tablet-style new touchscreen system that incorporates infotainment and climate control functions. There is also a 16-inch digital instrument cluster, a new steering wheel with capacitive buttons, and an automatic gear selector copying a gated shifter.

Under the hood, the Ferrari Roma equips the 3.9-liter, 3855cc, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that churns out a whopping maximum power of 612PS and an exceptional peak torque of 760Nm. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, borrowed from the SF90 Stradale. With these impressive figures, the beast can hit the 100kmph mark from a standstill in just 3.4 seconds before achieving the top speed of 320kmph.

Ferrari also claims that the Roma has the best weight/power ratio (2.37kg/CV) in the segment thanks to its lower mass and center of gravity than previous Ferrari GT models.

As for competition, the Ferrari Roma rivals the Mercedes-AMG GT R, Lamborghini Huracan, and the McLaren GT in the Indian market.
