Facelifted Hyundai Creta Teased Again; Official Unveil In November 2021

Hyundai Motors has once again teased the facelifted Creta ahead of its official debut at the upcoming Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2021 event that is scheduled between 11 November 2021 to 21 November 2021.

202 New Hyundai Creta facelift India launch

Going by the teaser images, the upgraded Hyundai Creta will get lots of cosmetical changes when compared to the ongoing model. The most significant update can be seen in its front facia that now features a revised grille with integrated Parametric Jewel Hidden-Type daytime running lamps, which form a boomerang-like shape when turned on. The design of the front bumper has also been updated, and it now features vertically stacked LED headlamps. Changes on the side are just limited to the redesigned alloy wheels.

At the rear, the 2022 Creta gets a slightly modified tail lamp setup, which no longer gets the LED light bar.

Inside, the new Creta will retain most of the design elements from the ongoing model. However, it could borrow a few new features from the Alcazar 6/7-seater SUV like a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring system and a 10.25-inch digital driver display.

Besides, it will carry forward most of its existing features like a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, BlueLink connected car technology, in-built air purifier, wireless smartphone charging, Bose sound system, panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable driver's seat, cruise control, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, up to six airbags, hill start assist, and electronic stability control.

Hyundai is yet to reveal the facelifted Creta's powertrain options. But its Indian-bound model, which is likely to be launched by mid-2022, will retain all three existing engine options: a 115PS 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 115PS 1.5-litre diesel, and a 140PS 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual as standard for both of the 1.5-litre units, along with the option of CVT and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes for the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel mills, respectively. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine, on the other hand, comes with a standard 7-speed DCT. However, Hyundai could introduce the 6-speed clutchless manual transmission (iMT) with the 1.5-liter petrol motor.
