Based on the same platform as the Creta, the Alcazar is 200mm longer (measures 4500mm), and 155mm taller (measures 1675mm) than the Creta. The wheelbase (2760mm) has also been increased by 150mm; however, the width of the car (1790mm) remains identical to its smaller sibling.

As for styling, the Alcazar gets some distinct design elements to give the SUV its own identity. The changes mainly comprise a chrome-studded grille, redesigned bumpers with differently styled fog lamps housing, silver skid plates, larger 18-inch wheels, bigger rear overhang with a quarter glass panel, an upright rear-end with refreshed tailgate design, and new wrap-around LED tail lamps that are connected by a chrome strip.

On the inside, it flaunts a distinct dual-tone black-&-brown theme instead of the all-black/black-beige cabin scheme of the Creta. However, the biggest change is it's seating layout that comes with two configurations – a 6-seater and a 7-seater. While the former gets two captain seats in the middle row (come with a slide, recline, and one-touch tip & tumble functions), the latter comes with a 60:40 bench seat for three occupants. The 3rd-row, on the other hand, gets 50:50 split foldable seats as standard in all variants.
