Competition Check

Basalt doesn’t have any natural competitors in the Indian market. However, it can be seen as an affordable alternative to mid-size SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and the upcoming Tata Curvv.

Author’s Take

The Citroen Basalt stands out as a value-for-money SUV that excels in comfort and practicality. Its refined ride quality and thoughtful interior layout cater well to daily commuting and long drives alike. However, the addition of more premium features would elevate its appeal even further, potentially making it an even more formidable choice for discerning buyers.
