BS6 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Specifications And Features Leaked Ahead Of Launch

The BS6 iteration of Isuzu's much-awaited D-Max V-Cross has recently spied inside out, revealing the design and interior details of the new Hi-Lander variant. And now, the specifications and variant details of the 2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross have leaked on the web ahead of its official launch, which is supposed to be held in May 2021.

According to the leaked documents, the 2021 V-Cross pickup truck will be available in two automatic variants – 2WD AT Z and 4WD AT Z Prestige. Both trims will be powered by a 1.9-litre 4-cylinder CRDI diesel engine (164PS/360Nm), mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 4WD AT Z Prestige variant will also get a shift-on-the-fly system with a high torque mode.

The BS6 Isuzu V-Cross will be 1,840mm tall, 1,860mm wide, and 5,295mm long with a wheelbase of 3,095mm. That said, the dimensions of the pickup are similar to its BS4 version. While the lower two-wheel-drive variant has a curb weight of 1,890 kg, the top-spec four-wheel-drive trim weighs 1,990 kg which is 55kg more than the previous model. Besides, both variants will get 18-inch wheels wrapped in 255/60 section tires.

As far as the features are concerned, the 2021 V-Cross will continue to get Bi-LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, front fog lamps with chrome bezel (only with 4WD trim), roof rails, blacked-out B-pillars, side steps, passive keyless entry & start system, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-speaker sound system (only with 4WD trim, 6-speakers with lower-trim), automatic climate control, cruise control (only with 4WD trim), 6-way electrically adjustable driver's seat (only with 4WD trim, manual adjustment for lower-trim), and auto-down power windows. etc. 

For safety, the 2021 V-Cross pickup will get dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, brake override system (BOS), rear defogger, rear door child lock, and rear parking sensors with a camera as standard, whereas the top-spec 4WD Prestige variant will also get some additional features such as side & roof length curtain, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist, hill descent assist, traction control, and transfercase protector. 

The leaked documents also revealed that the updated Isuzu V-Cross will be offered in a total of seven color options: Cosmic Black, Splash White, Titanium Silver, Silky White Pearl, Spinal Red, Sapphire Blue, and Galena Gray.

Besides these two variants, the Isuzu is also likely to launch a new Hi-Lander variant which is expected to replace the D-Max S-cab. 

As for pricing, the BS4 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross was priced between Rs 16.55 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) before its discontinuation. The BS6-compliant Isuzu pickup truck is expected to demand a premium of around Rs 1 lakh.
