BMW 220i M Sport Shadow Edition – What’s Special?

Similar to other BMW Shadow Editions, the 220i M Sport Shadow Edition also receives a darker treatment to distinguish it from its regular counterpart. Consequently, the kidney grille and rear spoiler are finished in black, while the adaptive LED headlamps get darkened inlays. There are also floating hubcaps with a levelling function.

Inside, the special edition sedan receives an exclusive illuminated Berline interior trim, a cabin-finished gear selector, and configurable ambient lighting with six dimmable shades.

Engine and Transmission

Underneath the hood, the BMW 220i M Sport Black Shadow Limited Edition has the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine as the standard M Sport variant. This engine produces 190PS of maximum power and 280Nm of peak torque and propels the front wheels via an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission. BMW claims it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.1 seconds.

The regular 2 Series is also available with a 2-litre turbo diesel engine. However, the M Sport variant skips this engine option.
