Bajaj Auto has announced a price cut of up to Rs 10,000 for its first CNG motorcycle, the Freedom 125. The bike was launched in July this year.
The Bajaj Freedom 125 is available in three variants: Drum, Drum LED and Disc LED. The base-spec Drum variant is now Rs 5,000 more affordable than before, while the mid-spec Drum LED variant has recived a price cut of Rs 10,000, bringing their price to Rs 89,997 and Rs 95,002 (ex-showroom). The range-topping LED Disc variant continue to be priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).

What Powers the Bajaj Freedom 125?
Powering the Bajaj Freedom is a 125cc, air-cooled engine (9.5PS/9.7Nm) that comes with a 2kg of CNG tank and a 2-litre reserve petrol tank with a mileage of around 100 km/kg on CNG and 65 km/litre when fed with petrol, thus offering a range of around 330 km. The bike has a service interval of 5,000 kilometres.
The bike also claims to significantly reduce enviromental impact, producing up to 26% lower CO2 emissions, 85% fewer NMHC (non-methane hydrocarbons), and 43% less NOx emissions compared to traditional petrol bikes. This makes it a much cleaner option, contributing to improved air quality and reduced air pollution.

When it comes to features, the Freedom 125 comes loaded with amenities like an LED headlight, an engine bash plate, a common fuel cap for petrol & CNG, telescopic front fork with fork gaiters, a mono-linked type rear suspension, segment’s largest single-piece seat, an LCD cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, call/SMS alert, call receiving switch, gear position indicator, real-time mileage indicator, Combined Braking System (CBS), slim single-piece grab rail, stubby upswept exhaust, and a tyre hugger. Colour Options and Rivals
Bajaj offers the Freedom 125 in five colors — Ebony Black, Caribbean Blue, Cyber White, Racing Red, and Pewter Grey.
The Freedom 125 has no direct rival in the Indian market. However, it can be seen as a cost-effective alternative to the Honda SP125, Honda Shine and Hero Xtreme 125R.
