Audi e-tron GT Range Recalled In India

Audi India has issued a recall for its sportier e-tron EV range in India due to some technical irregularities. A total of 31 units are affected by the recall, manufactured between 9 January 2020 and 16 February 2024.

As per the official documents, certain individual cell modules in the high-voltage battery could exhibit technical issues. It is possible that these irregularities stem from production inconsistencies on the part of the battery module supplier for the affected vehicle. Under certain circumstances, the high-voltage battery may overheat, posing a serious fire risk. This may lead to serious injuries to the occupants and people around the vehicle.

The brand is expected to reach out to its customers soon to schedule a service. The problem will rectified and fixed free of cost.
