Aston Martin DB12 Launched At Rs 4.59 Crore

Aston Martin DB12, a new-gen 4-seater luxurious sports coupe, has been launched in India as a successor to the DB11 at Rs 4.59 crore (ex-showroom).

Design

The Aston Martin DB12 sports an elegant and aerodynamic design, with firm character lines and a bigger & meaner grille up front. With a clamshell hood, revised full LED headlights with three-piece signature DRLs and LED taillights, new forged 21-inch alloy wheels with muscular rear wheel arches, and a curved rear-end with a deployable boot-lid spoiler provide it with an assertive look.

Interior and Features

Inside, the new DB12 boasts a high-quality material, hand-stitched leather, with a well-designed layout, featuring a 10.25-inch infotainment system on the slopping centre console with intuitive controls.

Regarding features, this luxurious sports car comes loaded up to the brim. The key highlights include a 10.25-inch TFT LCD display for the driver, 15 speakers 1170 watts Bowers & Wilkins sound system, connected car technology, satellite navigation system, wireless phone charging, powered front seats with heating function, multi-zone climate control, Adaptive Damping System (ADS), 360-degree 3D surround view system, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with active safety techs like Adaptive Cruise Control Stop & Go Including Speed Limit Adaptation (ACC), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Front Cross Traffic Assist (FCTA), Rear Cross Traffic Assist (RCTA), Door Open Assist (DOW), Hands Off Detection (HOD), Auto High Beam Control (AHB), and Driver Drowsiness Detection (DDD).

Powertrain

At the heart of the Aston Martin DB12 is a Mercedes-AMG sourced 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 petrol mill that belts out a whopping power output of 680PS at 6000rpm and a massive torque output of 800Nm between 2750-6000rpm.

Paired with a rear mid-mounted ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox with the electronic shift-by-wire control system, the DB12 is claimed to do the 100 kmph run from a standstill in just 3.2 seconds before hitting a top speed of 325 kmph.

The DB11 is claimed to deliver a fuel economy of approximately 8.196 kmpl in mixed driving conditions.
