New User Interface For All Screen Types

- Inspired by Google’s Material 3 design language, it now includes expressive fonts, smoother animations, & wallpapaers.
- It also supports more customisation options, allowing users to add widgets to home screens like music control, weather information, or shortcuts for contacts.

Immersive Navigation
- Google has given its Maps on Android Auto the biggest update in over a decade. Called Immersive Navigation, Google Maps will now support vivid 3D views on Android Auto that will show critical details like lanes, traffic lights, stop signs, along with buildings, overpasses and terrains.
- Cars with built-in Google will also support live lane guidance with the help of the front camera.
Gemini AI Integration
- Android Auto will now support Gemini AI.
- You can use it while driving to get help, ideas or information.
- Rolling out later this year, the Gemini Intelligence will understand your habits and needs automatically.
- Those living in the USA will also be able to order food through it.
YouTube Enabled
- For the first time in Android Auto, it will now support video apps like YouTube when the vehicle is parked or charging.
- When switching from parked to drive, videos will seamlessly transition to audio-only in apps that support background audio.
- Google will also extend Dolby Atmos spatial audio support to compatible music apps and cars.
- These features will roll out in supported cars from brands like BMW, Ford, Genesis, Hyundai, Kia, Mahindra, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Skoda, Tata and Volvo.
