Competition Check

The Kia Carens Clavis serves as a premium alternative to the Toyota Rumion, Maruti Ertiga and XL6. It is also seen as an affordable alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta.

Author’s Take

The introduction of the new HTE (O) and HTE (EX) variants with an automatic transmission option is a good move, as it will allow buyers who want the convenience of an automatic gearbox to avoid stretching their budget for a higher-spec variant. This is particularly relevant for urban buyers who often prefer automatic cars due to frequent traffic and stop-and-go driving.
