Tata Sierra EV vs Maruti eVitara vs Mahindra BE 6: Which SUV Makes More Sense?

The Tata Sierra EV is the latest entrant in the mid-size electric SUV segment, priced between Rs 18.79 lakh and Rs 25.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Currently, the segment is loaded with options like Maruti eVitara, Toyota Ebella, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, and Mahindra BE 6, of which the eVitara and BE 6 are performing well in the market thanks to their promising range and attractive price range. So, here we have put together both of these offerings against the Sierra EV to see which SUV makes more sense: –

  • In the case of single-motor variants, the BE 6 also produces much more power and torque. However, due to the additional motor, the Sierra EV AWD variant offers the highest output.
  • When it comes to charging capabilities, the Mahindra BE 6 supports fast charging of up to 180kW, whereas the Sierra EV and eVitara support up to 120kW and 70kW, respectively.

Author’s Take

Priced between Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), the eVitara offers a perfect balance between price, features and everyday usability, making it a desirable offering for those with constraint budget. On the other hand, the Sierra EV is the more comfort-focused option, perfect for families who priorities long distance driving with ease. Lastly, the Mahindra BE 6 is better suited for those who desire a tech-savvy, futuristic-looking, performance-driven electric SUV.
