The Honda City facelift, which is set to make its debut on May 22, has been spied undisguised, revealing the new front design of the upcoming sedan. The 2026 Honda City will feature a completely new front facia, with sharp LED headlamps, redesigned honeycomb grille finished in piano black, and restyled bumper with a sleeker air dam connecting triangular fog lamp housings. Honda City Sport (Only for reference)

Inside, we expect Honda to equip the 2026 City with a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system with advanced connected car technology. It is also likely to get new amenities like a powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree surround view system with blind-spot monitoring.

Powertrain Details

As for powertrains, the City facelift is expected to retain the ongoing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (121PS/145Nm), which can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. On the other hand, its hybrid version will also be on offer with an e-CVT automatic transmission.

Expected Price and Rivals

Expect the 2026 Honda City facelift to command a significant price premium over the ongoing model, which retails between Rs 12 – 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will retain its rivalry against the likes of Skoda Slavia, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Virtus.
