Hyundai Venue Shines With 5-Star Safety Rating In Bharat NCAP Test

The new-gen Hyundai Venue has proven its safety credentials with a full 5-star safety rating in the latest rounds of Bharat NCAP crash tests. The SUV performed strongly in both adult and child occupant protection. Here’s a look at its detailed breakdown of the crash test results: –

Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) – 31.15/32

  • Frontal offset test: 15.15 out of 16
  • Side impact evaluation: 16 out of 16

The Hyundai Venue showed GOOD protection levels for the majority of body areas; however, protection levels for the driver’s chest and lower leg were rated as ADEQUATE. In the side impact tests, the Venue secured full 16 out of 16 points, reflecting GOOD protection for all the key body parts.

Child Occupant Protection (COP) – 44.46/49

  • Dynamic crash test: 23.4 out of 24
  • CRS installation score: 12 out of 12
  • Vehicle assessment score: 9 out of 13

During the child safety assessment, both the 18-month-old and 3-year-old test dummies were well-guarded in all test parameters.

Hyundai Venue Safety Features

The standard safety kit of the Hyundai Venue includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-hold control, seatbelt reminder for all seats, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, rear parking sensors, front-wheel disc brakes and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. Furthermore, the higher variants also get amenities like a tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic parking brake with auto hold, rear disc brakes, front & side parking sensors, and a level-2 ADAS suite.

Price and Rivals

The 2025 Hyundai Venue is priced between Rs 8 – 15.69 lakh (ex-showroom), and primarily goes up against the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
