Iconic Tata Sierra Reborn – Here’s Everything You MUST Know

The iconic SUV from the 90s, the Tata Sierra, has finally made its grand comeback in 2025, with a bold new design, techy cabin and a long list of premium features. If you have been waiting to see how Tata has revived the cult classic, here’s a complete breakdown of what the new 2025 Sierra brings to the table: –

2025 Tata Sierra – Modern Signature Design

  • The new Tata Sierra embraces a new, bold, futuristic design language. It retains the boxy design and the iconic Alpine window, albeit with a modern twist.
  • While the old Sierra was a 3-door SUV with a single-piece rear glass, the new Sierra comes in a 5-door configuration and therefore uses a large rear window along with a quarter glass, surrounded by a thick gloss black finish to mimic the iconic Alpine window of the original model.
  • Up front, the SUV gets a sleek connected LED light bar, a muscular bonnet and a strong upright stance, giving it plenty of road presence. Again, a connected lighting setup is present at the rear as well, giving the SUV a futuristic look.
  • Both of these lighting setups feature welcome & goodbye animations and dynamic turn indicators.
  • Like the Nexon, the rear wiper is hidden under the spoiler.

Tech-savvy Cabin

2025 New Tata Sierra interior
  • The 2025 Sierra’s cabin boasts a clean, minimalistic design.
  • It features a dual-tone black-and-white upholstery, giving it an airy and premium feel. However, what grabs the attention is the triple-screen setup stretching the width of the dash, giving the cockpit a futuristic vibe.
  • The dashboard and door pads have soft-touch materials and fabric inserts, adding to its premium quotient.
  • The centre console is neatly designed with a compact gear selector, wireless charging pad, and touch-based climate controls, keeping everything sleek and easy to use.
  • While dimensions are yet to be revealed, it offers ample rear seat space even for taller passengers. What’s more commendable is the plusher rear-seat cushioning that you have never seen on any Tata models.

  • Digital driver’s display
  • 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • 12.3-inch touchscreen co-passenger entertainment screen
  • JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos
  • Connected car tech
  • Powered front seats with ventilation and memory functions
  • Adjustable underthigh support on front seats
  • Dual-zone AC
  • Rear AC vents
  • Panoramic sunroof

New Petrol Dynamics for New SUV

The 2025 Tata Sierra is expected to get the brand’s new 1.5-litre TGDi turbocharged and naturally aspirated petrol engines, which will also be offered in the Harrier and Safari on December 9, 2025. The SUV is also likely to get the Nexon’s 1.5-litre diesel mill.

2025 Tata Sierra Launch Date, Expected Price Range and Rivals

  • Tata will announce the prices of the new Sierra on November 25, 2025.
  • We expect it to be priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
