Hyundai Exter Smart Variants Launched, Makes Sunroof More Accessible

Hyundai Motors India has once again revamped the variant lineup of the Exter, this time bringing two new trims into the lineup called S Smart and SX Smart, priced from Rs 7.69 lakh to Rs 8.16 lakh (ex-showroom). They are available in both petrol and CNG versions.

Hyundai Exter Smart Variants โ€“ Whatโ€™s On Offer?

  • All the Smart variants come equipped with a single-pane electric sunroof. Additionally, customers can also opt for a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a rear-view camera for Rs 14,999.
  • Besides the above, the S Smart trim also gets LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, 15-inch steel wheels, tyre pressure monitoring system, manual AC, and rear AC vents. Additionally, the SX trim also gets keyless entry with push button start, projector headlamps, leatherette upholstery, shark fin antenna and rear parking camera.
  • The carmaker also made the ISOFIX child seat anchors standard fitment across the variant lineup.

What Powers The Exter?

Hyundai offers the Exter with a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating 83 PS of max power and 114 Nm of peak twist. It can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. It can also be had with a factory-fitted CNG kit, which produces a lower power output of 69 PS and a peak torque of 95 Nm when fed with natural gas. The CNG powertrain only gets a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Hyundai Exter faces competition from the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.
