Ultraviolette Tesseract and Shockwave Enduro Electric Two-Wheelers Launched in India

Bengaluru-based electric 2-wheeler manufacturer, Ultraviolette Automotive, has launched the Tesseract electric scooter and Shockwave electric enduro bike in India, at Rs 1.20 lakh and Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The prices are introductory and are valid for the first 10,000 customers only of the Tesseract and 1,000 customers of the Shockwave.

  • The Tesseract is a maxi-styled sporty-looking electric scooter with a futuristic design, drawing inspiration from attack helicopters.
  • The scooter comes equipped with LED projector headlight setup with floating DRLs, a 7-inch customizable TFT console with connected features, e-sim connectivity, and a full-fledged navigation. It also gets wireless charging, Remote Lockdown, Crash Alert, Daily Ride Stats, Advanced Ride Analytics, Movement/Fall and Towing Alerts, an Anti-Collision Warning System, a 2-level traction control system, 4-levels of dynamic regenerative braking, hill-hold, park assist and dual dashcam setup with Violette AI integration.
  • The dual-dashcam setup, paired with segment-first onboard radars, enables ADAS for collision warnings, blindspot detection, and overtake alerts. The lane change alerts appear on the mirror, while a haptic handlebar vibrates to warn of potential hazard.
  • The scooter rides on 14-inch wheels at both ends, with radial tyres.
  • Braking duties are taken care of by a dual disc brake setup, with dual-channel ABS as standard.
  • It is offered in 4 colours: Stealth Black, Sunburst Sand, Sonic Pink, and Solar White.
  • Ultraviolette offers the Tesseract in three variants – Tesseract 3.5, Tesseract 5 and Tesseract 6.
  • The base-spec Tesseract 3.5 variant offers a peak power of 10kW. It has a 3.5kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 162km.
  • The mid-spec Tesseract 5 and top-spec Tesseract 6 variants deliver a peak output of 15kW. As the name suggests, the mid variant gets a 5kWh battery pack providing an IDC range of 220km. On the other hand, the top variant comes with a bigger 6kWh battery pack offering a 261km range.
  • Irrespective of the variant, the Ultraviolette Tesseract takes 2.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph before attaining a top speed of 125 kmph.
  • Using a fast charger, the EV can be charged from 0 to 80% in less than one hour.
  • Bookings of the Tesseract are open for a price of Rs 999, while its deliveries will begin from the first quarter of 2026.

Ultraviolette Shockwave

  • The Ultraviolette Shockwave electric bike features an enduro-inspired design with sleek bodywork. It is road-legal and offers an optional pillion seat. At 120 kg, the bike is pretty lightweight.
  • It is available in Cosmic Black and Frost White colour options.
  • The Shockwave electric bike is powered by a 14.5PS motor generating 505Nm of peak torque. It features a chain-drive and offers an IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 165km.
  • The bike accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 120 km/h.
  • Regarding features, the Shockwave has dual LED projector headlamps, an all-LED lighting setup, a vertical TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity support and e-sim connectivity, 4 levels of traction control, 6 levels of regen for longer range and more.
  • Underpinnings of the bike comprises a 37mm telescopic fork (with 200mm of wheel travel) and a monoshock (with 180mm wheel travel). The bike rolls on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup.
  • For braking, it uses a 270mm front disc with a dual-piston calliper and a 220mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper. It has a switchable dual-channel ABS.
  • It has no direct rival in the Indian market.
