Volkswagen Virtus Crosses 50,000 Sales Mark In Just 28 Months

Volkswagen India has achieved a significant milestone with its premium sedan, the Virtus, surpassing 50,000 units in sales in just 28 months of its launch. In fact, VW sold over 17,000 units so far in the calendar year 2024 alone.

Volkswagen also revealed that Virtus and Taigun collectively surpassed the 1 lakh domestic sales milestone in the second quarter. At the end of Q3 of 2024, the brand crossed the 6.5 lakh domestic wholesale milestone in India, with the India 2.0 models contributing to almost 18.5 % of the domestic volumes in a short span of over 3 years from their launch.

This strong demand for the VW Virtus can be attributed to its elegant design with high ground clearance, premium features, brand value and robust safety. The brand offers it in two broad trim levels: Dynamic Line (Comfortline, Highline, and Topline) and Performance Line (GT and GT Plus), priced between Rs 10.90 lakh and Rs 19.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

It comes loaded with features like an LED lighting system, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-inch fully digital driver display, a single-pane electric sunroof, a wireless phone charger, rain-sensing wipers, auto AC, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, push-button start/stop, powered front seats, six airbags (as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and rear parking sensors with camera.
