Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun Gets New Variants

Volkswagen has introduced two new variants for the Virtus sedan – GT Line and GT Plus Sport, starting at Rs 14.08 lakh (ex-showroom). Along with this, both the Virtus and Taigun receive new mid-spec Highline Plus variants. The Taigun’s GT Line variants have also received new features.

Let’s start with the pricing of all these new variants: –

Vritus GT Line and GT Plus Sport

  • These new affordable GT variants get a similar treatment outside. These include a blacked-out finish for the grille, bumpers, alloy wheels, window line and VIRTUS badges.
  • The LED headlamps and tail lights also get a smoke effect for added appeal.
  • In addition, the GT Plus Sport variant also gets a black rear spoiler, red brake callipers, dual-tone roof, an Aero kit for the bumper, door cladding and diffusers. It also receives red-coloured GT badges all around.
  • Inside, these variants get an all-black theme with a glossy black accent. Even the sun visors, door handles and grab handles are finished in black. They also receive aluminium pedals.
  • Volkswagen has offered the Virtus GT Line variant with black-coloured semi-leatherette seats, while the GT Plus Sport variant gets black leatherette upholstery with contrasting red stitching for added appeal. It also gets red inserts on the steering.
  • Regarding features, both variants come equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, an 8-inch digital cluster, an electric sunroof, auto AC, cruise control, ambient lighting, tyre pressure monitor, electronic stability control, and six airbags. In addition, the GT Plus Sport trim also gets electrically adjustable front seats with a ventilation function.

The 1.5-litre engine also features Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), which shuts off two of the four cylinders in low load conditions, enhancing fuel efficiency.

Virtus and Taigun Highline Plus Variants

Positioned above the Highline variant, the new Highline Plus variant for the Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun gets a host of additional features over its donor trim, such as digital cluster, push-button start, electric sunroof, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, electrochromic IRVM, follow-me-headlamps & lead-me-to-the-vehicle functionalities.

As mentioned above, the Highline Plus variant is only available with the 1-litre turbo-petrol engine, and gets both manual and automatic transmission choices.

New Features For Volkswagen Taigun GT Line Variants
