It’s Confirmed! Mahindra Thar Roxx To Get Panoramic Sunroof

The latest teaser from Mahindra has confirmed that the Thar Roxx will get a panoramic sunroof. This possibility was previously hinted at in earlier spy shots. Interestingly, its immediate rivals – the Force Gurkha and Maruti Suzuki Jimny, skip the sunroof feature.

The teaser also confirms the beige-coloured upholstery, which gives it a premium feel. However, it tends to get soiled during off-road adventures. Unlike its smaller counterpart which is a 4-star offering, the Thar Roxx will be a 5-star offering, featuring a headrest even for the middle seat. The teaser also confirms the presence of a floating infotainment system and LED cabin lamps.

Aside from the above-mentioned features, the Mahindra Thar Roxx is also expected to get features like a digital instrument cluster from XUV 3XO, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charger, branded sound system, keyless entry with push button start, front & rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, six airbags and Level-2 ADAS suite.

Mahindra Thar Roxx Launch Date

Underneath the hood, the Thar 5-door is expected to equip the same 2-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine as its smaller counterpart. However, it is likely to be tuned differently for a higher output. Transmission options could include both 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic units.

Mahindra is anticipated to offer the Thar Roxx in both RWD and 4WD options. We expect Mahindra to price the Thar Roxx from around Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
