Tata Curvv EV To Offer Over 600km Range; Specs Leaked

Exciting updates about the highly anticipated Tata Curvv EV continue to surface as we approach its official launch on August 7, 2024. Recently, the carmaker revealed its exterior design, and we got a glimpse of its interior through official sketches. Now, the battery and range details of the upcoming Curvv EV have been leaked.

Tata Curvv EV – Battery and Range

  • As per reports, the Tata Curvv EV will be offered with two battery pack options, including a 55kWh unit.
  • The 55kWh battery pack will be offered with the higher-spec trims of the Curvv EV.
  • Tata Curvv variants with 55kWh battery claimed to offer a range of over 600 kilometres on a single charge.
  • The EV will support DC fast charging, allowing the SUV coupe to gain 100 km of range in simply 10 minutes.
  • Details of the smaller battery pack are still under wraps. We expect it to feature the same 40.5 kWh unit offered in the Long-Range variants of the Nexon EV.

Expected Features

  • Tata is likely to equip the Curvv EV with tons of premium amenities such as 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, digital driver’s display, panoramic sunroof, JBL sound system, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car tech, illuminated steering wheel, ambient lighting with music sync, electronic parking brakes with auto-hold, multi-level regen braking, auto headlamps & wipers, wireless charging, air purifier, and much more.
  • Safety is expected to be taken care of by six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a hill assist, traction control, ESC, front & rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera with blind-spot monitoring, and a Level-2 ADAS suite.

Expected Price and Competitors

Tata is expected to price the Curvv.ev between Rs 18-24 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it against the BYD Atto 3, MG ZS EV, Mahindra XUV400 EV, and upcoming models like the Hyundai Creta EV and Honda Elevate EV.
