Upcoming Tata Cars In 2024 – Punch EV, Curvv and Harrier EV

Tata Motors had a bustling year with lots of new and updated offerings. The upcoming year promises even more exciting options across various segments, enhancing the Indian carmaker’s portfolio.

Tata’s Hotly Anticipated Cars For 2024

Here’s a quick look at all the upcoming Tata cars and SUVs we can expect in 2024: –

1. Tata Punch EV and Punch Facelift

Tata Punch EV news
Tata Punch EV Spied Testing
  • The Tata Punch EV is set to hit the market in early 2024.
  • It has been spied on multiple times during testing. It is expected to look similar to its petrol counterpart, save for some EV-specific design changes, such as closed-front facia, differently styled alloy wheels and Nexon.ev-like width spanning LED light bar up front.
  • We also expect it to feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system inside the cabin, along with a single-pane electric sunroof and a new steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo.
  • While the technical specifications are yet to be revealed, it is expected to be offered with multiple battery pack choices to cater to a broader range of customers.
  • Tata is also anticipated to give the ICE-powered Punch SUV a facelift update next year.

2. Tata Curvv

  • Showcased in a pre-production avatar at the 2023 Auto Expo, the Tata Curvv is likely to be launched in mid-2024. It is essentially a 5-seater SUV coupe that will come in both ICE and EV versions, with the electric iteration set to debut first.
  • Based on the Generation EV2 platform, the Tata Curvv EV will get a dual-motor setup for all-wheel-drive compatibility and will offer a range of around 500 kilometres.
  • Technical specifications of the Tata Curvv ICE are scarce at the moment, but it is expected to have a petrol engine with both manual and automatic transmission options. A CNG powertrain could also be on the cards.
  • Tata will position the Curvv between the Nexon and Harrier in its current portfolio to rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

3. Tata Altroz Racer

  • The Tata Altroz Racer, essentially a sportier version of the regular Altroz, made its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo, boasting a more powerful engine, additional features, and plenty of cosmetic tweaks. We expect it to be launched this year, probably around the festive season.
  • It will be powered by Nexon’s 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 120PS of max power and 170Nm of peak torque, that’s 10PS and 30Nm more than the Altroz turbo.

4. Tata Harrier EV

Tata Harrier EV India launch
  • Tata Harrier underwent a facelift update this year, and now, it is scheduled to receive an electric derivative in the second half of 2024. While maintaining a design and features akin to the standard Harrier, anticipate the Tata Harrier EV to be available with multiple electric powertrain options, offering a claimed range of over 500 km, and the option for all-wheel drive (AWD).
