For those unaware, Maruti Suzuki retails the Jimny from its Nexa dealerships nationwide. It comes with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, K15B petrol engine rated at 105PS and 134.2Nm. It gets an idle start/stop system, and comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission, driving all four-wheelers of the SUV via the Suzuki’s AllGrip 4WD system.

Compared to the range-topping Alpha variant, it mainly misses out on the LED headlamps, DRLs, auto climate control, headlamps washer, cruise control, push-button start, ARKAYMS tuned premium sound system, and more extensive 9-inch touchscreen infotainment.

In the Indian market, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny faces competition from the Mahindra Thar and diesel-powered Force Gurkha.
